CREW POLICY

Seabold recognizes that human resources are a critical factor in safe and high-quality operations, both on board and ashore.
All vessels are manned by properly educated, well-trained and sufficiently experienced personnel.

Contract period for officers: 4 months
Contract period for ratings: 6 months
A seniority and experience-based system provides additional benefits for qualified personnel.
Officers and crew are selected based on professional competence, experience and performance monitoring results.

CREW SOURCING & MANNING

Many of our officers are graduates of leading maritime academies in Türkiye.
Seabold runs an extensive cadet program, enabling cadets to grow into officers within our fleet.
The company is a sponsor of Yalova Maritime University and has invested in ice-training simulator modules.
Seabold participates in and sponsors academic social events such as career days and maritime awareness activities.
Academy students are invited to company seminars and social/professional gatherings at the head office.
Selected cadets are also employed at the head office to gain hands-on operational experience.
A significant number of our senior and junior officers have been with us since their cadetship stage.

CREW GUIDANCE & SAFETY BOOKLETS

All crew members receive compact, pocket-sized safety guidance booklets covering:

  • Company policies
  • Behaviour-based safety, situational awareness and safety culture
  • Smoking regulations
  • Permit to Work system
  • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
